Company details
ELISABETH PHARMACON (CZ) was founded in the Czech Republic in 2001. In its early days the company was known for research, development and producing DNA diagnostics under the brand name EliGene®. ELISABETH PHARMACON cooperates with many research institutes and clinics.
Since its beginnings, the company has cooperated with the Faculty of Science, Masaryk University. In 2008, it became the first Czech company to produce DNA diagnostics under EN ISO 13485:2012 certification. The quality systems EN ISO 13485:2012 and EN ISO 9001:2008 cover all activities such as designing, developing, manufacturing, purchasing, storing and selling in-vitro diagnostic medical devices and medical instruments and molecular biology testing, measuring and analysis. ELISABETH PHARMACON has distributors in many EU countries such as Switzerland, Germany, France, England, Nederland, Austria, Italy, Poland and others, where DNA diagnostic kits EliGene® have large popularity.
Since 2003, the company supplies several network pharmacies by medical devices.
By 2012, the company had invested more than 3 million EUR in laboratory instruments and research. The company's research is continually supported by grant projects of the Investment and Business Development Agency (Czech Invest) and the Ministry of Industry and Business of the Czech Republic. Laboratories ELISABETH PHARMACON are registered private medical facility and they offer testing of many genetically determined diseases (Alzheimer’s disease, coeliac disease, age-related macular degeneration etc.) and DNA detection of many infection diseases from different clinical samples.
The quality system enabled the company to become the authoritative representative for registrations of in vitro diagnostic medical devices for companies that are domiciled outside the European Union. This experience in the registration of in vitro medical devices in database of European Union led the company to create a new section focusing on the registration of medicines. In this section operates a pharmacist, a lawyer focusing on health laws and executive director, all supervised by managing director. The company is prepared to register medicines of companies with domicile outside of European Union. The registration could be made for the Czech Republic only or for EU including the Czech Republic. The registration is the process for months. It depends on the type of medicines, on its previous registrations as generics, on certifications of manufacturing company etc.
The sister company ELISABETH PHARMACON Ltd. (UK) was founded in London in 2012. The company sales DNA diagnostics under the brand name EliGene®. ELISABETH PHARMACON Ltd. and ELISABETH PHARMACON, spol. s r.o. (CZ) are members of international group ELISABETH PHARMACON GROUP.
