Company details
The firm exists since 1980. Initially it is acting as a small craft plant producing haberdashery of plastics and leather. In 1985 the production of disposable medical equipment launches. In 1989 the firm moves to a new versatile building.
After the political transformation in 1990 under the name of “GALMED” initiates winning the market and widening the assortment of production. In 1995 on Chemical Plant “Zachem” grounds an own sterilisation autoclave is installed. In 1997 extension and thorough modernisation takes place in order to adapt to GMP standards required to get a licence for production of medical materials. Such licence is obtained by W.S.M. “Galmed” in the middle of 1998. In 2003 the firm introduced the Quality Assurance System according to ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 13488 and obtained the EC certificate for its products, entitling to mark them with CE mark.
Our current offer consists of over 120 assortments. We also produce packages for ethylene oxide sterilisation and provide services of industrial sterilisation of products in ethylene oxide. We supply mainly to domestic health service, and export a little to Germany, Italy, Romania, Ukraine, Lithuania and Belarus.
As far as now we effectively compete with suppliers of similar products from European Union and countries of Far and Middle East. Yearly we produce 3.5-4 mln of products and employ ca. 40 workers.
